Calibration scale results

The test moves a marker a distance of 1.5m and this should be the distance Optitrack should show. The system is just calibrated, there is perfect coverage.

The first position of the test marker with the corner aligned to about 0.3mm on the ruler.

Optitrack reference detection is less than 0.1mm.

The end position of the test marker after movement of 1500mm, the same corner is at about 1500.6mm.

Optitrack distance measurement of the 1500mm movement shows too much.

The actual movement starts at about 0.3mm and ends at 1500.6mm - a distance of 1500.3mm with an accuracy of less than 0.5mm.

The Optitrack say 1503.97mm a scale error of about 0.3%

Maybe a problem with the calibration wand.

The trace lines from the cameras to the marker show that they all meet close to the center of the marker. This should indicate a valid and precise result.
